Remembrance Service for Mst Sgt Eerik Salmus and Sgt. Raivis Kang (06/09/2009)
On Saturday 29 August HM Ambassador Peter Carter, Defence Attaché Lt Col Mike Barker and the Liaison Officer of 1st Battalion Welsh Guards Capt Alex Bourne attended the Remembrance Service for Mst Sgt Eerik Salmus and Sgt. Raivis Kang , members of ESTCOY 8 who were killed in action in the Nad-e-Ali area of Helmand Province in Southern Afghanistan on 23 August.
The Ambassador and Defence Attaché had previously signed book s of condolence for Mst Sgt Salmus and Sgt Kang at the Ministry of Defence , expressing deep sympathy with their families, colleagues and friends and the pride of British troops at serving with such brave and self-sacrificing men.
