Visas to UK

General Information

Estonian nationals do not need a visa before travelling to the UK. Stateless people and people from certain countries, known as visa nationals, need however, an entry clearance to enter the UK for any reason.

The UK is not part of the Schengen group of countries and if you need a visa for the UK at the moment you will continue to do so after Estonian's entry to Schengen on the 21 December 2007.  You must apply for one at a British visa office before you travel to the UK.

UK Border Agency's Customer Service Standards outlines the level of service that our applicants can expect in terms of processing times at our missions overseas. The current Standards are that we will aim to resolve:
  1. 90% of all non-settlement applications within 15 working days
  2. 90% of all settlement applications within 3 months

The timings shown above relate to all applications regardless of complexity and begin from the day a fully completed application is received at our Post, with a fee being paid (where appropriate) and Biometric information captured. Applications will then be sent to the Warsaw Hub, where they will be processed, and returned.

UKBA would like to remind our customers to refrain from entering into any financial commitment (such as airfares) where a refund is unlikely, prior to obtaining an entry clearance. You should bear this in mind when making your travel arrangements.
